What is Cheersuu?

Cheersuu turns your drink into a link. Whoever you send it to taps once and pulls up a chair beside you — from across the room, or across the world. Glass in hand and the moment feels good — at a bar, on a trip, or at home on your own sofa? Take one photo, say what is in your glass and where you are, and send it. They need no app to install and no account to make. Every one is kept in your own Cheersuu log too — public, unlisted, or private, your call. There are no comments and no followers: the drink is the medium, and the moment is the point.

Where does the name come from?

Bangalore. Cheersuu is "Cheers" with a Kannada ending on it — the same word, said the way it is said there.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Cheersuu runs in your browser at cheersuu.com, on a phone or a computer. If you use it often you can add it to your home screen so it opens like any other app, but that is optional and there is no app store download either way.

Do I need an account?

Only to log your own. Receiving a Cheersuu and Cheersuu-ing it back needs no account, no sign-up and no app — the person you send to just taps the link. An account exists so every Cheersuu you log is kept in one place, your Cheersuu log.

Is Cheersuu free?

Yes, completely. There is nothing to pay for, no subscription and no advertising.

How do I send a Cheersuu to someone?

Every Cheersuu has its own link. On the screen straight after you take one, and any time afterwards from your own Cheersuu log, there is a Send button — it opens your phone's own share sheet so you can drop it into a message, and copies the link at the same time so you can paste it wherever you like. You can send it as a photo instead, for anywhere that takes pictures rather than links. Whoever opens it needs no app and no account, and one tap sends a Cheersuu straight back to you.

How do I log a Cheersuu?

Take a photo of your drink and the view, or pick one you have already taken. If you like, say where you are — the app can detect it, or you can type your own name for the spot — and what is in your glass; both are optional. It goes straight to your Cheersuu log, and the screen after it is where you send it on.

What does it mean to Cheersuu someone back?

It is the reply. When you open a Cheersuu somebody sent you, there is a coaster to tap, and tapping it tells the sender you saw it and raised your glass. It takes one tap and no account.

What is a Cheersuu Round?

A Cheersuu Round is a table with more than one glass on it. It starts when somebody answers your Cheersuu with one of their own instead of just tapping back — both drinks then sit on the same table, wherever the two of you actually are. Anyone who answers after that joins the same round rather than starting a new one, so a round grows sideways instead of turning into a thread.

How do I join a Cheersuu Round?

Open a Cheersuu that is part of one and take "join the round", or tap the empty chair on the table. You log your own drink the way you always would and it lands beside theirs. Joining needs an account, because you are making a Cheersuu of your own — tapping one back never does.

Can I add more than one drink to a Cheersuu Round?

No — one glass each. If your glass is already on a table, logging another Cheersuu simply goes to your log as an ordinary one.

Is a Cheersuu in a round always public?

Yes. A round is a shared table — it has its own page, it can appear on the front page, and everybody at it can see every glass — so an unlisted or private Cheersuu could not sit on one. If you want a moment kept back, log it on its own instead.

Who can see the Cheersuus I send?

That is yours to choose, per Cheersuu, when you save it — and changeable any time from your Cheersuu log. Public ones appear on your profile and the front page shelves, get their own page search engines can find, and open for anyone with the link. Unlisted ones stay off all of that but still open for anyone holding the link. Private ones are yours alone — nobody else can open one, even with the link.

Can I keep my Cheersuu log completely private?

Yes. Every Cheersuu is public, unlisted, or private — your call when you save it, and changeable any time from your Cheersuu log. Private means only you can open it, even with the link. Set everything private and nobody else can open any of it; mix the three and every Cheersuu keeps its own answer to who sees it. Your profile has the same three doors under Edit: public, unlisted, or private.

Can I change my profile address?

Once, under Edit on your own profile — the button only you can see. Your old address is never given to anybody else — it stays yours and sends people to wherever your profile is now, so a link you shared before the change still works. It is one change rather than unlimited because every change permanently reserves another name; if you need to change it again, email cheersuu@levtech.global and we will do it for you. Your Cheersuus are not affected either way, because each one keeps its own link.

How do I stop a Cheersuu turning up in Google?

Two controls, and neither breaks anything you have already sent. Open any Cheersuu from your Cheersuu log and set Who sees it to Unlisted — that takes it off your profile and out of search while the link keeps working (Private goes further: nobody but you can open it at all). Or open your own profile, tap Edit, and set the page to Unlisted — the whole profile leaves search and the shelves while the address keeps working (Private closes the page to everyone but you). Search engines take their own time, so anything they have already found can linger in results for a few weeks.

Do I have to share my location?

No — the place is optional, like the drink. Say where you are if you like: let the app detect it, pick a venue from the suggestions, or type whatever you want to call the spot — and a Cheersuu with no place at all is still a Cheersuu. Your exact coordinates are never shown on a Cheersuu and are never readable by anyone opening it.

What drinks can I send?

Any of them. Coffee, tea, juice and water count as much as wine — the moment is the point, and the drink is how it is remembered. You type whatever is actually in your glass; there is no list to choose from, and naming the drink is optional too.

Can I remove a Cheersuu after sending it?

Yes, and there are two different things you might mean. Removing it from your log takes it off your own list and off your Cheersuu profile, while the link keeps working for the people you sent it to. Deleting it removes it for everyone, including them. Removing is inside the Cheersuu — open it from your log; deleting for good is by email, and the privacy page says how.

What is my Cheersuu profile?

Claim a handle from your Cheersuu log and you get a page at cheersuu.com followed by that handle, listing your public Cheersuus — unlisted and private ones never appear there. Open your own profile and tap Edit — a button only you see — to change your handle or your display name, and you can take any single Cheersuu off the profile without deleting it.

How do I add Cheersuu to my home screen?

Tap Add to home screen at the bottom of the Cheersuu home screen. On Android and on most computers that opens a proper install button — one tap and it is done, with no app store and no download. On an iPhone or iPad there is no such button, because Apple does not offer one to any website, so the same link tells you the two taps to make instead.

Why is there no install button on my iPhone?

Apple has never given websites a way to install themselves, so on an iPhone or iPad it is always two manual taps: open cheersuu.com, tap the Share button, then choose Add to Home Screen. Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge can all do it — the taps sit in each one's share or menu button. On Android, open your browser menu and tap Add to Home screen if the install button has not appeared yet; browsers there wait until they have seen you visit a few times before offering it.

Does Cheersuu work on iPhone and Android?

Both, and on desktop browsers too. Cheersuu lives at cheersuu.com, so any browser opens it — and any of them can put it on your home screen; the question above has the taps.
